OLEMISEN BALANSSIA RY
Olemisen Balanssia ry is a research-based organization founded in year 2014 in Raisio, Southwest Finland. To support educational institutions, Digital Classroom Tools, Student - Initiated Learning, Social-Emotional Learning and Education Internationalisation and their quality assurance, certification, and recognition in National Qualifications Framework and furthermore civil society organizations in their demand to change into a more modern, dynamic, engaged, and professional atmosphere. By inspiring from Finnish education, Olemisen puts effort into social-emotional learning, high demand of cutting-edge educational technologies and entrepreneurship spirit development. Olemisen has been also providing courses and pieces of training.
Olemisen has 2 full-time and 3 time-based staff working in several departments Research, Open Data Interpretation, cognitive and experimental learning, Finnish educational benchmarking and CLIL methods. To achieve these purposes; Olemisen puts effort together with Turku Municipality, Turku University Applied Science department, and with some private companies to create disruptive changes and impacts.
Organisation has the capacity of developing open-source relational database management systems, MySQL(pls see profile’s), creating eLearning content such as software demonstrations, software simulations, branched scenarios, and randomized quizzes in Small Web Formats and HTML5 formats by using adobe captivate, data processing bottlenecks based on log files and session monitoring and pinpointed unproductive parts of logics in reporting area data processing for coders and suggested an alternative approach to problems.
Olemisen has a productive co-operation with Turku City government’s social department. Turku University Applied Science(TUAS) is an important partner for us to collaborate in specialized projects and creating solutions across the region.
Olemisen Balanssia ry has been coordinating Erasmus+ Ka2 projects granted from Opetushallitus two years in a row. ‘OpenMakers’ train public-decision makers, ICT staff, non-profit leaders and develop their competences in open-data through simplified ICT tools developing a Step-by-Step Framework and an Open Badges System (OBS). “E-patterns” financial literacy and fundraising mechanisms. “YDSI” training and equipping young digital social innovators, “FULL STEAM AHEAD” boosting Steam education through Makerspaces, and Innovation Labs.
In the project, they will contribute to WEB 2.0 tools experiences and will host the 3rd Training Event in Finland. They already organized workshops and training for teachers and
students for schools as a course provider in Finland. In this project, they will host 27 youth workers and disabled youngsters for 5 days about 3d printing activities.
