Teams is an Office 365 for Education app. It’s a digital platform for teamwork that makes it easy to bring together conversations, content, and other Office 365 apps in one place. It also offers chat and videoconferencing features around which are attached all the other services of the platform that we know: Word, Power Point, Forms, Stream, Sharepoint …

Teams allows you to create classes within the same organization. They can be public (open to all members of the organization) or private.

You can also add applications that are not part of the Microsoft ecosystem. In education, it is possible to add for example: Flipgrid, a platform that allows students to record themselves and send their video productions to the teacher directly in Teams; Wakelet, a virtual board on which students can come and “hang” posts such as texts, photos or videos; or Wooclap which offers a whole series of quizzes to enrich interactions in class and remotely.

Unlike the business version, Teams Education offers to create four types of “teams”:

    “Classes”, for teachers and students,

The “PLC” (Professional Learning Community), where teachers can collaborate on disciplinary or transdisciplinary projects,

The “Staff”, which are reserved for the administrative staff of schools or colleges to manage and collaborate on administrative and internal documents,

The “Others”, which are simple teams for clubs or groups of students.
